ACYLS is aimed at young professionals from ASEAN countries, including Thailand. The official guide covers master’s and doctoral study and short research visits. It expects at least one year of work experience; degree routes specify age and prior-qualification criteria. English is the main teaching language, with the guide listing IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 or accepted equivalent evidence.
Applications involve a national focal point, or the ASEAN University Network for eligible university applicants, as well as the CSC system. The guide describes a usual January–March window, but this is not a confirmed deadline for the next round. Get the current annual call and nomination instructions. ACYLS and the separate China–AUN scholarship are not interchangeable.
YES China: a professional master’s route
YES China targets eligible professionals for English-taught master’s programmes. The checked notice specifies an age ceiling of 45, a bachelor’s degree, at least three years of work experience and qualifying professional roles. It also requires a pre-admission letter. Most listed study structures are one year; some use a “1+1” arrangement.
The notice available at our review is for 2026 and closed at 23:59 Beijing time on 31 March 2026. It is retained as a comparison reference, not an open 2027 opportunity. Wait for the relevant new call before relying on its programme list, agency number or deadline.
Compare the route before the HSK target
Write down the study purpose, degree or visiting status, teaching language, work-experience requirement and nominating organisation. An English-taught professional programme may have a very different language profile from a Chinese-taught degree. Set your HSK target from the actual requirement, not from a generic scholarship label.
For a short research stay rather than a full degree, investigate China Link and its partner-institution eligibility. In every case, confirm the receiving authority, annual dates and host programme before preparing a full application.
