Read beyond the job title
A job called “Chinese interpreter” may include production follow-up and coordination. Read the responsibilities for references to staffing, quality, training or schedules. Decide whether the role expects you to translate information, own an operational task, or do both.
Make a clear handover
For a fictional delayed order, write a short bilingual handover with the item, observed problem, responsible person, agreed action and next update time. Separate confirmed facts from questions. Ask an experienced colleague or teacher to check clarity; technical or safety instructions need a qualified reviewer.
Prepare language and process knowledge together
Build a small glossary from the type of factory you are targeting and learn what each process does. Use the advert to confirm any HSK certificate requirement. An exam score can document part of your language preparation; it does not establish that you can interpret technical instructions accurately.
